Annual ITSVA Conference - 2004
More than 200 ITS professionals and transportation industry representatives attended the 10th Annual ITS Virginia
Conference at the Marriott Waterside Convention Center from June 7 to June 9 in Norfolk.
The conference drew both Virginia and out-of-state attendees and speakers
(some from as far away as Milwaukee and Kansas City), bringing a variety of perspectives
on a broad array of topics ranging from smart work zones to public-private traveler
information partnerships.
Sixteen sessions (three plenaries and 13 technical sessions) were presented, with
over 60 speakers. A pre-conference workshop on June 7, entitled "Using Data in
Intelligent Transportation Systems", drew 50 participants. The exhibition hall featured
19 exhibitors.
