VDOT RFPs

VDOT has released Addenda for seven (7) Design Build Bridge and Culvert Rehabilitation American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded projects today.  The Addenda includes a rescheduling of the due date for the Letter of Submittal/Price Proposal/Escrow Document for all seven (7) projects.  The new due date is July 31, 2009.  The Addenda can be downloaded at the following location.  http://www.virginiadot.org/business/request-for-proposals.asp

VDOT has posted a Design-Build Request for Proposal for the design, construction, and monitoring of a wetland compensation site.  The RFP has been posted on VDOT’s website at http://www.vdot.virginia.gov/business/request-for-proposals.asp

VDOT has released seven (7) RFP’s for Bridge and Culvert Rehabilitation Design Build Projects in various regions across the Commonwealth.  These projects are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  The RFP’s for these projects can be downloaded at the following location.

>> A Request for Qualifications for the I-81 Corridor Safety and Operational Improvements Project in Montgomery County was released on 04/15/09.  This Design-Build project involves design, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocations, adjustments and coordination, construction, structures, quality control and quality assurance.  The RFQ can be downloaded at the following location: http://www.virginiadot.org/business/request-for-qualifications.asp.

ITSVA Wins a Best of ITS Award

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (November 17, 2008) - The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) has honored the Intelligent Transportation Society of Virginia with one of their prestigious 2008 Best of ITS Awards.  ITSVA President Stephen Little accepted the Certificate of Excellence for Emerging Practices and Deployments in a special ceremony at ITS America’s 2008 Annual Meeting & Exposition held in conjunction with the 15th World Congress on ITS in New York City.
